Working with the displaced communities, NA has learnt that emotional and psychological healing is an essential part of peace building work. NA began its own free counseling center where the trained psychosocial counselor provide counseling support to the displaced people in particular and community at large.
Objectives
To provide long-term emotional and psychological healing to the NA displaced youth volunteers and other displaced people, helping them make a transition from anger/revenge to forgiveness.
To make necessary referrals for serious cases requiring intense professional care.
To extend required capable human resource in the area of counseling.
Outcomes
Center equipped with trained counselor established in Lalitpur.
Free counseling service being provided for needy displaced youths, other displaced people and needy people for psychological support.
Resource center being developed in the counseling center.
More than 300 people received counseling support till date.
